Agriculture:
Dave Kinskey is a strong voice for ranchers, co-sponsoring legislation to protect groups that enter their property and threaten their livelihood. In another effort to strengthen the agriculture industry, Dave supports programs critical to our agricultural economy, such as predator control and water development.
Education:
To ensure that our children receive a top-notch education, Dave Kinskey voted to protect k-12 funding despite budget cuts. Dave also worked to stabilize funding for community colleges to promote higher education.
Gun Rights:
As a strong supporter of our right to bear arms, Dave Kinskey voted to make it easier for out-of-state active military to obtain a Wyoming Concealed Carry Weapon permit. Dave Kinskey also supports efforts to repeal the Gun Free Zones Act.
Jobs:
Dave Kinskey knows that saving our families’ good-paying jobs is the key to strengthening our economy. Dave believes that making our state more business-friendly with low taxes and minimal government influence will cultivate a “can do” attitude toward job creation in Cheyenne.
Immigration
Dave opposes Obama’s Refuge Resettlement Plan and favors a bill that gives the Wyoming Legislature the power to decide whether our state will participate in refugee resettlement.
Our Local Law Enforcement
Our local police officers, sheriffs an deputies are the first responders to domestic terrorism. When they apprehend illegal aliens rarely does the federal government do anything to take custody or deport. That needs to change.
Ronald Regan said, “We’ve lost control of our own borders, and no nation can do that and survive.” It is truer today than ever. We must secure our borders.
Taxes/Spending:
Dave Kinskey has taken a firm stance against new taxes and as a member of the Revenue Committee, he will continue fighting to ensure our families keep more of their hard-earned paychecks – even if it means standing up to members of his own party. Dave understands the importance of a balanced budget and will keep working to rein in reckless spending, shrink big government and prevent welfare fraud.
Values:
Dave co-sponsored the Government Nondiscrimination Act to protect our religious freedoms. Because Dave knows that every life is precious, he will continue to stand up for the unborn. Dave favors legislation that would have prohibited midterm and late-term abortions.
Veterans:
Dave Kinskey spoke up for Wyoming Uniformed Services and the Wyoming National Guard, voting to protect their jobs while they are away fighting for our nation. Dave also voted to protect employers who voluntarily extend hiring preference to veterans and the spouses of disabled or deceased veterans.
Wyoming Water:
Water is life and prosperity in Wyoming. I will continue to carefully track and support future water projects to ensure that we continue to have access to clean, dependable water. I’ll fight to protect our water from big government power grabs.
